Discrimination?

There are a lot of very nice lodges in the Masai Mara that all serve delicious food, but we have found that you can just as good local food if you eat in the staff kitchens... and at a fraction of the cost! The folks who work there are always very welcoming, but at one lodge in particular, the guards wouldn't let us in, insisting we ate at the lodge with the rest of the tourists. Well, we were lucky enough to have friends who insisted we be allowed to eat there, although they had to go in and order our food and carry it out to us. It was quite an interesting experience, athough we did end up with a delicious meal and beautiful scenery... at 1/10th the cost!

I'm very impressed! Great traveling tip. Is there room for Daddy and me under that tree?
