Pole Hippo

We spend a great deal of time thinking about how things breakdown in the river.  One way to help answer that...is to put a camera trap on a carcass and watch what happens over time.  Here is a short example of the type of footage that we typically get from our cameras.  This video is from a dead hippo in the river that probably died during a territorial dispute a few days prior.  Pole hippo....(pronounced "pol-ay", means "sorry" in Swahili).
